As-built drawing: definition and document management
An as-built drawing represents the works as they were actually constructed, including changes made during execution. It differs from the design or original execution drawing and normally forms part of the construction closeout record.
Preparing drawings of the completed works
Contractors update their documents to reflect the locations, services, equipment, and changes actually built. Drawing name, revision, date, and scope should be visible.
Review confirms that the document covers the correct zone and matches known site information. An incomplete or outdated version should be identified before the closeout file is assembled.
Working revisions remain archived while the final version is clearly distinguished for operation and future interventions.
How Builddar organizes as-built drawings
Builddar centralizes drawings by project and zone with their revisions. As-built documents can be identified and attached to closeout deliverables.
Their context remains connected to observations, approvals, and the relevant works, making them easier to find during reception or a later intervention.
